There are some adaptors that have swiveling heads which would allow you to play a Pathe or other non-Edison verticals with a DD machine. Unfortunately, a BC-34 console is all I have room for in the house here (and Wayne's Amberola 30), but it's in fabulous shape and gets through 3 Diamond Discs with a single winding (if they're slightly shorter than average in duration). I'd love to get it to play Pathe's, etc. Walt's had some on eBay but they're (rightfully) expensive with his meticulous reworkings, more expensive than I could spend at the moments I see them listed, darn it!
