The Edison Triton motor ran the 5" Concert cylinders at the correct speed 
with the larger mandrel shaft pulley so there is reason to believe it could be 
set to run at speed without problems.  Same for the Duplex with both mandrel 
sizes.  However, the number of records will be less as the motor has to revolve 
more times to play a record with the larger mandrel pulley.
 
Also of note was the lack of a shaver.  Had this mechanic wanted to use the 
machine for recording, he would have needed one.
