[Phono-L] Which one? And why?

Hello All: I am the owner of the Upside Down Decal Vernis Martin. Thanks
Jerry for your kind words on our collection. Regarding the upside down
decal, noted Victor / Victrola historian and author Robert Baumbach had also
speculated to me that it never made it out of the factory but was also never
made right and sat in the factory for years. Most likely in the
anticipation of coming of the Orthophonic era and November 1925 "Victor Day"
the factory was ordered to sell remaining inventory at "outta here" prices.
Bob Baumbach did indicate to me a year or two ago that he is aware of one or
two other Victrolas with upside down or "not perfectly centered" decals.
They are indeed rare items and I am thrilled to have it. Thanks all. Bob
Johnson

I wonder if it sat at the factory waiting to be fixed until it was out of
style, and someone said "Mark it down and move it out"
