Hi All ~ I've had one particular Edison paper label D. D. record for probably 25 years, which is a gem of a "personality" performance featuring a female vocalist, but in all this time I've never known who she is because on one side the lower half of the label is torn off and the other side has a missing label. I'm hoping that at minimum someone out there has this record and can report who the singer is, and at best, that something is known about her (or at least more about her can be learned on the internet). The song on one side is "You May Be Fast But You Won't Last", and on the other the title (I assume) is "Big Hearted Bennie". For that matter, there must be a published work documenting all D. D. numbers? The number on this record is 51287. I have the book for the Blue Amberol Cylinders, but not for the Diamond Discs. I took some time on line, searching "Diamond Disc" +"Matrix number list" (no results returned), and "Diamond Disc" +numbers (lots of results, but I gave up after about 30 minutes trying to locate an actual usable list. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Andy Baron
