I was 15 and my father took me to an antique dealer where I paid $35 for a tabletop Silvertone. The dealer said the price was $35 and that's what I paid. I don't know **WHY** my dad never said to bargain with him. I then got 78's from the local Salvation Army for 5 cents apiece. My first batch included Paul Whiteman's "Chicago" and "Crinoline Days". Still my favorites today. That Silvertone had a smell, or should I say "aroma" to it that I love to this day. The smell of the old oak when I open the lid. Anyone else experience the aroma thing with old wood? Dennis (forty one years later) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
