yep. definitely true. even tho the test i took to get my Advanced Class ham radio license, years ago, was all vacuum tube theory - i guess i'm thinking we might not enjoy too much talk about pentodes and triodes and stuff like that. but i also am not fond of reading about where to get a new idler wheel for a 50s Admiral phono. these were the motives for what i wrote below. but we'd want to include capeharts and stuff like that, which went post-war and likely had electronic controls. i dunno, tough to say. perhaps we don't restrict anything and just keep talking, and if it isn't interesting, the discussions will taper off naturally?
