Well, it seems that my mine may be a lone voice here, but I would enjoy seeing and participating in discussions about early electrically amplified machines as well as my beloved acoustic treasures. I have some limited but satisfying personal experience with Victor Electrolas, Edison combinations, etc., and find them to be remarkably well engineered and solidly put together (not to mention impressive sounding when everything is in good shape). Additionally, I have a lot of experience restoring many of the later radio-phonographs from the late '30s through the '50s, that folks bring to me for repairs, and if I can contribute something that will save someone else some time, I'm happy to do so. Whether as part of this group, or a separate group, I have no preference. Thanks, Loran for considering these options.
